Catherine Mary DeStefano

February 19, 1927 - May 14, 2022

DeStefano RevisedCatherine Mary DeStefano, 95, of the Asbury Gardens Retirement Community in North Aurora and formerly a resident of Hunt Club in St. Charles, IL passed away Saturday, May 14, 2022, at Asbury Gardens Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  She was born in Chicago, IL February 19, 1927.  She was united in marriage to Raymond DeStefano April 14, 1950, in Chicago, IL.

Catherine was employed for many years at GTE until her retirement.  Following retirement Catherine and Raymond moved to Phoenix, AZ where they lived for many years.  Catherine was a lovable fun and adventures lady who always put her family as her first priority. Between working hard and her family she did manage to squeeze in many games of bowling and loved playing cards.  Catherine appreciated her Italian heritage, and her faith she was a long-time member of St. John the Apostle in Villa Park where she was involved in the Italian Club. She most recently was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church in St. Charles. 

She is survived by her daughter; Karen Ann (George) Frauenhoffer, daughter-in-law Marilyn DeStefano; four grandchildren, Frank Quaglia, Quinn Quaglia, William DeStefano, and Krystine Bushnell; and two great-grandchildren, Isabella Rose Quaglia and Mason Joseph Bushnell. 

In addition to her parents and her husband Raymond; she is preceded in death by her son Joseph DeStefano and siblings, Ralph Trezzo, Mary Fuscone, James Trezzo and Samuel Trezzo. 

Visitation will be held 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at Moss Family Funeral Home 209 South Batavia Avenue Batavia, IL

Funeral services will begin with prayers 12:30 P.M. Wednesday, May 18, 2022, from Moss Family Funeral Home, Batavia, IL, before processing to St. John Neumann Catholic Church 2900 East Main Street St. Charles, IL to celebrate Mass at 1:00 P.M.  Entombment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery in Geneva, IL.
