Wade V. Muranyi

January 3, 1964 - August 3, 2013

Wade V. Muranyi, 49, of Aurora, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2013 at his residence. He was born January 3, 1964 in Elgin. He was united in marriage to Laurah Schrader on January 6, 2010 in Geneva.  Wade was raised, lived, and worked his entire life in Kane County. He was most recently employed at Fermilab as a senior technician for almost fifteen years. He was an avid fisherman and a master griller. Wade was known and loved by hundreds of people.  He always put the well being of others ahead of himself. He was a family man who loved nothing more than spending time with his family.  He is survived by his wife, Laurah; two daughters, Sarah and Jessica Muranyi; two grandchildren, Mykiah Tomlinson and Desmond Williams, and another granddaughter expected in November; his mother, Helen I. Donna, and father, Joseph S. Muranyi; three sisters, Angela (John) Nielsen, Robin Trettenero, and Tamara (Mike) Jarvis; the mother of his children, Patrecia Muranyi; and his wife, Laurah’s, family including her mother, father, brother and sister.  A visitation will be held 4-8 P.M. Thursday, August 8, 2013 at the Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 S. Batavia Ave., in Batavia. A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 8 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment will be private. 


In lieu of flowers, donations in Wade’s memory may be made to the family in order to establish a college fund for his grandchildren.

  • John Urban Laurah, Sarah and Jessica it was such a shock when I heard of the passing of Wade. My heart goes out to you. I always considered Wade to be one of my best friends at the lab. I'm sorry I will not be able to attend the service, as I had a complete knee replacement last week and cannot travel yet. Once again so sorry for your loss. I will miss him as much as you will.

Karen, Natalie, Carson, and I are going to miss him. He was a great neighbor and glad we all got to know him.
